Eleonore Marguerre, born into a belgian-german musician’s family in Heidelberg, studied singing at the Vienna University of Music where she passed her Diploma with distinction. She won prizes at Voice Competitions like Leyla Gencer or the Boris Christoff Competition. After some years as a Soloist at Nationaltheater Weimar she is now pursuing an international career, singing at houses like Theatre la Monnaie in Brussels or New National Theatre Tokyo roles from Gounods „Marguerite“ or „La Traviata“ but also modern repertory like Mark Grey’s new opera „Frankenstein“ or Natascha in „War and Peace“.

2023 Marguerre is singing „La Grande-Duchesse de Gérolstein“ at Staatstheater Nürnberg, „Merry Widow“ at Oper Bonn as well as „Rheingold“ in Brussels or „Fledermaus“ in Tokyo. 2021 traveled in France for a „Bat“ to Avignon, Toulon und Rennes, and sang „Faust“ at the Opera of Wroclaw. In 2022 she sang Hindemith’s "Neues vom Tage“ at Musiktheater im Revier, „Merry Widow“ at Opera Wuppertal as well as the Baroque Opera „Talestri“ at Staatstheater Nürnberg. Apart from singing, Marguerre published a Singer’s Guide to Germany „Earn a Fee for your High C“, and is hosting a German operaguide Podcast „Leonore and Fidelio“ as well as 9 CDs, a.o. Mozart’s Fragment "Demofonte", Suppé’s "Schöne Galathee" and Max Bruch’s „Lay of the Bell“.
